Alberta: the registered gaming sites, and the register in full

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Alberta is the youngest regulated online gambling market in Canada, and its register still changes from one month to the next, which is why this page prints the whole of it rather than a selection. Readers who connect from Alberta see this page instead of our French-language pages about casinos, which describe operators that accept players in Quebec but are not registered here. The way the province of a connection is recognized is explained in the privacy policy (in French).

What the buttons are

Every card ends with a "Visit" button, which is an "affiliate link": if you open an account through it, the operator may pay us a commission, at no cost to you. The order of the fourteen cards is not a ranking, and no card mentions an offer (the reason is a rule of the province, set out below).

Fourteen registered sites, four operators

The cards show the registered sites with which we have a commercial agreement: fourteen sites, run by four of the operators that appear in the register at the bottom of this page (Cadtree Limited, Cadway Limited, Skill On Net Ltd. and Apollo Entertainment Ltd., in the register's own spelling). Each button leads to the address that the operator supplies for Alberta, and it is the operator's site, not this one, that checks the age and the location of a new player before any wager.

The rule that keeps offers off this page

The iGaming Alberta Act set the legal frame for the regulated market, which opened on 13 July 2026, and it splits the work in two. Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (known as the "AGLC") registers operators and enforces the standards, while Alberta iGaming Corporation (the "AiGC"), a "Crown corporation" that operates at arm's length from the government, signs the commercial agreements and keeps the register; the province's own platform (Play Alberta) carries on alongside the private sites.

The AGLC's Standards and Requirements for Internet Gaming (section 4, in pages issued on 18 June 2026) prohibit any advertising that communicates "inducements, bonuses and credits", with two exceptions only: the gaming site of the operator itself, and direct marketing sent to a player who has given "express player consent". A public page such as this one falls under neither exception, so the cards name the operator and its registration, and nothing else.

The same section makes each registered operator answerable for its "third parties": no affiliate paid by an operator may also promote online gambling sites that accept wagers from Albertans without an AGLC registration. That is why the rest of this site, which is written about casinos that are not registered in Alberta, is replaced here by this page. It is also why, according to the AGLC's compliance FAQ of 15 May 2026, an affiliate does not register with the regulator at all, because the registered operator carries the responsibility for the advertising that promotes it.

Generic advertising that simply points a reader to an operator's website, without mentioning an inducement, is not an inducement in the AGLC's reading, but it must still carry a responsible gambling message; the footer of this page carries one, with 211 Alberta and GameSense.

Checking a site yourself

The AiGC puts the test in one sentence on its player pages: "If an operator does not appear in our directory, it is not regulated." The directory is the register reproduced below, and the original sits on the Alberta iGaming Corporation website, where every entry can be opened (the "Details" button) to show the company behind it.

Two further signs are worth a glance before any deposit: a registered site shows the AiGC logo and the "RGC" seal of the Responsible Gambling Council, and it lets you play only while you are physically located within Alberta's borders. If a dispute with a registered operator stays unresolved for 72 hours, the AiGC accepts a formal dispute for independent review, a route that no unregistered site can offer.

None of this requires trusting us. A site that fails the first test does not need to be checked against the other two.

Age, self-exclusion and help

The minimum age is 18 to register, deposit or play on a regulated site in Alberta, one year younger than in Ontario, where the minimum is 19.

The province's self-exclusion program, which a player joins personally at selfexclusion.ca, covers three scopes ("casinos and racing entertainment centres", "regulated iGaming platforms", or both) and four lengths (six months, one, two or three years). Only the person concerned can enrol, and an enrolled person cannot receive a prize in a gaming facility (Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Regulation, section 34.5).

GameSense, the AGLC's responsible gambling program, answers on its Info Line at 1-833-447-7523, and its website is gamesenseab.ca (the spelling "gamesense.ab.ca", which still circulates in some lists, did not resolve when we checked it on 30 October 2026). 211 Alberta answers at any hour, free and in several languages, by phone (211), by text (send "INFO" to 211) or by online chat, and it refers callers to addiction services, counselling and other support.

The register, entry by entry

The table below reproduces the register of iGaming sites published by the AiGC, which we read entry by entry on 30 October 2026, because the page gives neither a total nor a date. We counted 51 sites, each shown with the operator named after "Operated by" in its entry, exactly as the register spells it, so that some entries put the word "Alberta" ahead of the brand, as in "Alberta Golden Tiger", and others do not.

The register has also moved. It now sits in the operators section of the AiGC website, and the address that circulated during the market's first months returns an error page, so a bookmark saved in the summer may no longer work.

The third column marks the fourteen sites that have a card above, and therefore a commercial link; every other site appears because it is registered, with no relationship to us, and a name missing from this table belongs to a site that the province has not registered.

The register is the province's word, not ours, and it can be checked in the time it takes to type a site's name. If a name is missing, the decision about what to do next is yours, and in our view it is an easy one!

Questions readers ask

Is online gambling legal in Alberta?

Yes, on sites run by operators registered with the AGLC that have signed an agreement with Alberta iGaming Corporation, which keeps the public register; Play Alberta, the province's own platform, remains legal as well.

What is the minimum age for online gambling in Alberta?

Eighteen. Players must also be physically located within Alberta when they log in or place a bet.

How do I self-exclude from all regulated gambling in Alberta?

Through the AGLC program at selfexclusion.ca, which covers regulated iGaming platforms, casinos and racing entertainment centres, or both, for six months or one, two or three years.

Why are there no bonuses on this page?

Because the AGLC standards issued on 18 June 2026 allow inducements, bonuses and credits to be communicated only on the operator's own site and in direct marketing sent with the player's express consent.
